This tour departs early in the morning, picking up passengers at their respective hotels. We head towards the Andorra Valley (near Ushuaia), specifically towards the “Tranquera Verde” (end of the access to Andorra). Here we get out of the van and start trekking along a peaty trail, walking on flat terrain for about 20 minutes. We will reach the Arroyo Grande, which is crossed by a pedestrian bridge.
On the way we will observe beaver forests, reddish peat bogs, lengas, ñires and coihues. We will begin the first part of the ascent, for approximately 2 hours until we reach a spectacular waterfall at the edge of the vegetation. This is the perfect place to take the first break (20 minutes approx.), where we will have a snack to recharge our batteries and take pictures of this wonderful scenery.
We continue ascending, crossing valleys and peat bogs, until we reach the last part of the route and the last effort to reach the indescribable Laguna de los Témpanos, in the middle of the Andes Mountain Range. Here we will enjoy our Lunch box, on the shore of this splendid water mirror, where we will be able to take spectacular pictures.
The glacier ice caves are located 20 minutes away. Weather and terrain conditions permitting, it will be possible to briefly enter the caves to take photos. Then, we carefully start the descent, returning to our starting point where the transfer will be waiting for us to return to the city.
Note: this tour is of high difficulty and requires a previous reservation, as well as the completion of a medical form for the corresponding insurance.
